4x4ft Barn Quilt - Village Trail
This barn quilt was painted by the children of Bruce and Nancy Baker and is adapted from a Shaker pattern. The home is located on the former estate of the Woodward family. Orator Woodward owned the Jell-O company and his home, Hill-Bar, was located behind the stone wall. Orator Woodward’s son, Ernest, razed his father’s house and built “Poplar Lane.” After Ernest’s death, Poplar Lane was given to the University of Rochester for a retreat house. However, in the early 1950s, it too was razed.
