Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 2002, the Batavia Cemetery is the final resting place for some of Batavia's earliest settlers including Joseph Elliott, who helped shape Western New York through the Holland Land Office.  Albert Brisbane and his son Arthur are also buried there, along with Philemon Tracy, one of the few Confederate soldiers buried in the North.  The Batavia Cemetery Association hosts Ghost Tours in October.
