Join us online for "Living History @ Home: Cooking for Juneteenth!" We are excited to partner with the New-York Historical Society and Cheyney McKnight from the DiMenna Children's Museum to bring to you a virtual experience exploring how some African American New Yorkers might have celebrated the end of enslavement.

From the New-York Historical Society's website: "Living History Coordinator Cheyney McKnight, along with Historical Helper Millen Shiffer, prepare a celebration feast on a wood burning stove in one of the historic buildings at GCV&M. Learn how to make treats like strawberry pie, sweet tea, and other kid-friendly recipes."

Saturday, June 19
