Spring on the Farm | Genesee Country Village & Museum

NEW at GCV&M this season is the Spring on the Farm Experience! Spring is one of the busiest times of the year on the historic farm, and you're invited to join for a Spring on the Farm experience! Lend a hand or merely enjoy an up close and personal behind-the-scenes experience of the historical farm and animals while joining the farmers in their daily chores and spring farm activities.

When you join the Spring on the Farm Experience, you help the farmers plow fields with oxen, plant flax and corn, take an oxen driving demo and lesson, grab a front-row seat for a sheep shearing, all the while exploring the rich agricultural history of the Genesee Valley Region. Please note: all activities are weather-dependent.

This experience also includes a guided behind-the-scenes tour of one of the historic houses where you will be served a farm lunch of vegetable soup and bread.
