For 25 years,
Batavia, NY has been fortunate to be home to one of the most authentic Irish pubs this side of Dublin! O'Lacy's Irish Pub, owned by one of Genesee County's own, Kent Ewell, is a staple for locals and visitors alike!
Kent started in real estate, but after a visit to a pub in Providence RI on St. Patricks Day in 1996, he returned home and built the School Street pub from the ground up! Named after Kent's mother, O'Lacy's is a hometown hangout with a quaint atmosphere surrounded by décor that features a little bit of local, and a lot of Ireland - new décor items are added weekly to keep visitors searching! Enjoy the daily local chatter, while you indulge in a shepherd's pie, or fish & chips! The full-service bar has 16 premium taps and they're consistently honored with the designation of "Perfect Guinness Pour."
Live music on a weekday evening is often a feature at O'Lacy's, and there's never a cover charge! Enjoy everything from traditional Irish folk singers to open jam sessions, referred to as "Irish Seisiún."
For the month of March, O'Lacy's will host several events to celebrate the season. Don't miss out on the fun; add these to your calendars:
