DARIEN CENTER — Fresh off of winning his sixth Grammy Award Sunday night for Best Alternative Music Album (“Colors”), Beck has been scheduled to perform Aug. 13 at the Darien Lake Amphitheater.
LiveNation announced Monday morning that the singer/songwriter would bring The Night Running Tour to Western New York in a double bill that also features Cage the Elephant and special guests Spoon and Sunflower Bean.
Beck has topped the Alternative Music charts three times in his career. The first was “Loser,” the lead single from his 1994 debut, “Mellow Gold.” He followed that up with No. 1 singles “E-Pro” in 2005 and “Up All Night” in 2017.
Fellow Grammy Award winners Cage the Elephant is touring in support of its forthcoming fifth album, “Social Cues.” They won the Grammy for Best Rock Album in 2016 for “Tell Me I’m Pretty.” They are best known for their No. 1 Alternative single “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked.”
