Batavia Downs construction nears ‘finish line’

BATAVIA — The main thrust of an overhaul of Batavia Downs’ gaming facility is nearing completion, with construction focusing more and more on finishing touches.

But for a project aimed at provoking plenty of “oohs and aahs,” the finishing touches are what matters most when the Downs’ gaming area opens next month.
