Summer Solstice Soiree | Linwood Gardens & The Hillcrest Estate

The event will begin with a private and exclusive tour of Linwood Gardens (1912 York Rd W, Linwood, 14486) as guests are guided through the first floor of the Arts-and-Crafts-era summer house and the unique garden spaces, covering roughly 7 acres. Light refreshments will be available upon arrival at 4:30 p.m. The tour will run from 5-6 p.m.

After your tour, guests will travel “next door” to The Hillcrest Estate (1940 Craig Rd. Pavilion NY 14525) and be welcomed with champagne and music by Valley Rising.

The Yard of Ale Restaurant will be serving a summer inspired four course meal at 6:30 p.m. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening at The Hillcrest Estate from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.

First Course: Panzanella salad; fresh heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers & red onion, marinated in a basil vinaigrette, tossed with toasted croutons.

Second Course: Chimichurri shrimp; grilled with fresh herb & garlic marinade.

Third Course: Roasted chicken breast finished with a fresh peach glaze.

Fourth Course: The Yard of Ale’s homemade specialty, strawberry ice cream.

After dinner, guests will mingle as the sun sets, roast s’mores at the firepit, and enjoy the ballroom, veranda, sunroom and terrace at The Hillcrest Estate which once entertained prominent American figures in history, including Theodore Roosevelt, Mark Twain and Ethel Barrymore.

Tickets are limited and this event is expected to sell out quickly! A portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold will be donated to Linwood Gardens.

The Hillcrest Estate has four bedrooms available for overnight accommodations and one carriage house on property (with two bedrooms). Please inquire with Kate at or 585.356.7164 if you’d like to stay overnight at The Hillcrest Estate after the event!

Tickets are non-refundable. Please send any special requests for dinner seating if your tickets were purchased separately from a larger group.

Dress code: Garden party (casual) attire suggested. Wear comfortable footwear for walking through the gardens. No jeans.
