Spring is in the air as the village throws open its doors for a  double celebration of Regular Season Opening Day on May 7! The museum will be bustling with activities.

Chat with the knowledgeable costumed interpreters who keep the hearth fires burning, the heirloom gardens flourishing, and the livestock tended. You’ll hear the clanging of the blacksmith’s hammer, smell the aroma of fresh-baked treats, and truly experience life in the 19th century. Interpreters — including cooks and craftspeople — will be demonstrating their talents all day! Wander down to the farm to meet the animals, see what's cooking at the Pioneer Farmstead, and so much more.
PLUS, make sure to visit the John L. Wehle Gallery when you visit on this special weekend to explore a brand new exhibition for 2022! "Duck, Duck, Shoot! The Story of American Waterbirds." explores American waterfowl hunting across the 19th to the 21st century. Wildlife art, sculpture, and lithographs will be paired with duck decoy carvers, duck stamps, waterfowl culinary tools, and an array of 19th- and 20th-century waterfowl firearms and hunting gear for both men and women.
