Holland Land Office Museum Director Ryan Duffy will be presenting as part of our Guest Speaker Series on Thursday, June 30th at 7 pm. Mr. Duffy’s presentation, “Joseph Ellicott’s Ghost: The Lasting Impact of the Holland Land Company,” will detail the ways in which we can still see the importance of the Holland Land Company today, even though its height came 200 years ago. These ways include names of locations and connected people, continued use of techniques and measurements, and even their name being at the top of every deed in Western New York.

Admission is $3 or $2 for museum members. If you would like to attend please contact the museum at 585-343-4727 or hollandlandoffice@gmail.com. The Guest Speaker Series is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the office of the Governor and New York State Legislature and administered by GO ART!
