Everyone knows Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton (both local New York women) and all their efforts to enable the right for women to vote. After years of fighting for women's suffrage, New York adopted women's suffrage in 1917. On August 26th, 1920 the 19th Amendment to the Constitution was finally ratified, declaring all American women deserve all the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, like men. But what happened between 1917 and 1920? A women in Le Roy stood up and took advantage of her newly declared right!

Celebrate the history that took place right in Le Roy as Delia Phillips cast her first vote, 100 years ago.

The Dedication of the marker will take place at the Municipal Building at the corner of Main Street and Clay Street in Le Roy.

More details to come.
