Stories in the Stars

Experience the grandeur and beauty of a summer night like never before at the
Genesee County Park & Forest! Join us for “Stories in the Stars” on Friday, August 11th from 9:30 pm to
11pm. Meet at the Interpretive Center and then grab a spot in the meadow and sit back for some
entertainment, the way people did before Redbox and Netflix! Hear the stories behind summer’s constellations
and find out how the stars got their names. Bring a blanket or a chair and take in the beauty of the shining
stars in the dark summer sky, far away from city lights.

The Genesee County Park consists of 430 acres of rolling hills and forests, over ten miles of hiking and multi-use trails, and excellent habitat for birding and nature-watching. The park also has athletic fields, picnic areas and playgrounds, and the crown jewel of the park, the Interpretive Nature Center.
