4x4ft Barn Quilt - North Trail

This barn quilt was created by Don Antinore to acknowledge the men from LeRoy who served during the Civil War in the Union Forces. Their names are engraved on the War Monument on Trigon Park. Men from LeRoy served in the 100th New York Volunteers, the 104th New York and the 8th Heavy Artillery. Some were billeted in a stone building which still stands on Church Street near the old railroad tracks. Many of these men returned to LeRoy and were buried in the local cemeteries. Each year on Memorial Day, volunteers place flags on their graves.
