A far cry from the shopping malls and big box retailers, a much different (and more fun) retail experience awaits – the Hometown Trail, a collection of 10 gift shops, markets and more spread out through Genesee County. Let’s face it, every shopping center and mall is filled with the same shops, selling the same stuff across the country. On the Hometown Trail, each location is unique in itself. Often, the owner of the business is in their store ready to greet and serve you. It's a fun and delightful experience to explore the trail and discover these hidden gems. The participants in the 2015 Hometown Trail are: Berried Treasures (Darien Center), Country Cottage (Darien Center), Country Hill Home Accessories & Gifts (Pavilion), Harrington Produce & Bakery (Batavia), Kozy Kabin (Corfu), Mulberry Station (Pembroke), The Artisans@North St. (Batavia), The Hobby Horse (LeRoy), The Mill (Elba) and Torrey's Farm Market (Elba).
