Fall is a wonderful time “to get out there” and soak up the autumn scenery. The sights, sounds and smells play a wonderful role in enjoying the harvest time. Here are five fun autumn events and happenings this coming weekend (October 3-4, 2015) in Genesee County, NY.

Holland Land Office Museum

Every town has a story! Jump on Rt. 98 and visit 12 different local museums during the “2nd Annual Route 98 ‘Tri-County’ Museum Crawl.” For $5 an individual or $10 for family, you receive admission into an array of fascinating local museums. Get your passport stamped at all locations, you will be eligible for a prize.

Pully's Farm Market

Time to pick out some pumpkins! Pully’s Farm Market in LeRoy is a happening place during the autumn season. Countless pumpkins to choose from, fresh seasonal produce and even a pumpkin cannon. One visit here and you'll be in the seasonal spirit.

How about a little vino! On Saturday night, Batavia is hosting “Taste of Fall Wine Walk” 16 New York State wineries will be showcasing their wines at 20 locations throughout the downtown area. It's a fun way to explore the shops and businesses in the downtown district.

Billed as “Holiday Hollow is America’s only Halloween and Pirate-themed mini-Renaissance Fair and Western New York’s most unique October family destination.” This town of Corfu season attraction offers a slew of live family-oriented performances each day, as well as attractions, gift shop and food stands throughout a Renaissance-era village.

Rolling Hills Asylum in East Bethany continues their Horror Movie Nights with the showing of Rob Zombie’s version of “Halloween.” What better place to watch a scary flick then at a haunted asylum? Arrive early or stay after the film for opportunities to go ghost hunting at this notoriously haunted place.
