Batavia and Genesee County are stepping their game up in the culinary and beverage circles of late. In addition to our beloved restaurants, Genesee County has blossoming companies (Midgard Winery), important suppliers (NY Craft Malt) and exciting projects such as the future restaurant incubator project known as freahLAB, which will house the Batavia Brewing Company. Staking its own claim in Batavia's beverage uprising is coming up this Saturday, June 18th - the second annual Beertavia Craft Beer Festival, 27 Bank Street, Batavia. The beer tasting event will be bringing 16 breweries for beer lovers to enjoy. The event runs from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with VIP admission an hour earlier at 2:00 p.m. There's even a discounted admission for designated drivers.
Participating breweries are: 42 North Brewing, 810 Meadworks, Abandon Brewing, Amber Lantern Brewing, Bandwagon Brewery, Big Ditch Brewing Co., Community Beer Works, CB Craft Brewers, Ellicottville, Four Mile Brewing, Hamburg Brewing, Ommegang, Resurgence, RG Brewery, Rohrbach Brewing Co., and Southern Tier Brewing Company.
