Batavia Public Market: something for everyone.

by dsitler

The Batavia Public Market (4535 West Saile Drive, Batavia) is the place to be every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and  features over 50+ vendors. This is not your typical farmers’ market; its food and so much more. The event runs every Saturday until October 31, 2015.

Market features fresh locally-sourced foods, food vendors, food trucks and other culinary treats. But where this market stands out regionally, is that there will be a slew of vendors selling household items. From folk art to archery, there will be many items available from our local retailers. A large portion of the items for sale will have been made by local artists or craftsmen. So you can feel good knowing that your purchases will help support the local economy. Not all at the market will be about shopping. A children’s area will be on-site that features youth-oriented entertainment. There will also be gardening activities for patrons to participate and learn. Each week will also feature live musical entertainment.

Judging what we’ve seen and heard so far, Batavia Public Market is a homerun for shoppers and the local economy this summer/fall. The Batavia Public Market's Facebook page can be found here.
