By their appearance alone, Victorian Homes are beautiful and full of allure. Sometimes when you see one, do you wonder what’s inside? This Sunday, May 17th you can get an inside look at seven Victorian residences in Batavia at the Victorian Home Tour, which benefits the Batavia Cemetery. The event is held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and begins at the Batavia Cemetery on Harvester Avenue. Batavia is blessed with vintage homes that exude character. Thankfully, many of these homes are preserved due to loving homeowners who renovate and restore their structures. The era of Victorian homes is generally 1837 to 1901, which was the years of Queen Victoria's reign of Great Britain. During Sunday’s Victorian Home Tour you will have a delightful experience walking through and observing the amazing details of the homes. This is going to be a wonderful event that celebrates our Victorian treasures and a part of Batavia and Genesee County’s history. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at: www.bataviacemetery.com, calling (585) 507-6524, or in-person at T-Shirts Etc., 37 Center Street, Batavia.
