WAR OF 1812 LOOK: War of 1812 reenactors Ford Best and Sue Briggs will be present for the eighth annual Taste of Stafford from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Illette Park.

Extreme dirt track racing is getting bigger in Batavia. The WNY EDT committee brought in a regional race Saturday that attracted racers from as far away as New Jersey, and on Aug. 11, a national professional race will hit the track.

Darien Lakes State Park will officially open the newest disc golf course in Western New York, the Angry Apple Disc Golf Course Saturday with a grand opening ceremony planned at 10:45 a.m. at the park.
