National Alpaca Farm Days are Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 29-30. Genesee County has six alpaca farms and this would be the perfect time to visit.

The goal of the fifth annual Artist Road Show was to encourage visits to artists and crafters at their places of work. It also provides an opportunity for people to view, purchase or order works, raise awareness of culture in the community and increase tourism in Genesee and Orleans counties.

Irrera, 27, was introduced Monday night as the GSO's new first violinist and concertmaster, the most significant position in an orchestra next to the conductor.
