The Genesee County Historians Association dedicated a War of 1812 bicentennial historical marker Thursday at the International Peace Garden, next to the Holland Land Office Museum in Batavia.
The historical marker reads as follows: ‘‘For the brave soldiers, Indian warriors and families of Genesee County who provided safe haven for fleeing refugees, rally for troops and support for our young nation during the War of 1812.’
