STAFFORD — Entertainment and good food will be featured at the eighth annual Taste of Stafford from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Illette Park. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the Stafford Fire Department building.

The event, sponsored by the Stafford Historical Society, will include such entertainment as Tim Gillespie, Jon Seiger and the All-Stars, the Blue Belles, the Patriotic Singers directed by Ann Emmans, Scott Laird and Bob Mullen. Juggler Owen Gould will also appear.

Geoff Redick, formerly of WBTA radio, will be master of ceremonies.

Among the food items available will be Red Osier roast beef sandwiches, Stafford Trading Post pizza, ice cream from Douglas Farm Market and other items.

A theme basket auction with items donated by various local businesses will also be held.

T0 commemmorate the War of 1812, guest Ford Best will be dressed as a British soldier of the era. An American militia re-enactor will also be present.
