Second American Warrior Concert set for June 1 and 2 at The Ridge

Jan 16, 2018

LE ROY — Bigger and better and, for veterans and active military, free.

That’s what promoters of the 2nd Annual American Warrior Concert are promising as they finish planning this year’s event, scheduled for June 1 and 2 at The Ridge in Le Roy.

Dan Clor, a former Le Royan living in California, organized the first concert last year at The Ridge, with more than 30 bands and dozens of vendors.

The festival benefitted The Warrior House in Shelby, an outdoor retreat for veterans.

This year’s concert benefits WNYHeroes, a Williamsville-based organization that provides services to veterans and their families.

Clor, a former Marine who served in Iraq, operates Strength in Numbers Entertainment, organizes similar events in California, with the theme “A Celebration of our troops, veterans and American way of life.”

He said 2,000 free tickets will be available to veterans and active-duty military for this year’s show.

About 20 bands have already signed to perform, including June 1’s headliner, Madison Rising, a New York City-based rock band known for being “America’s Most Patriotic Rock Band.”

Like last year’s concert, dozens of vendors and veterans organizations are expected, along with food, drinks, craft beers and barbecue.

The concert is all-ages, featuring one main stage and an acoustic stage, along with a VIP tent and camping packages available.

Clor and other organizers are still looking for more vendors. Any local businesses or people who want to get involved can contact Clor at (585) 742-0204 or Tracy Lyons at (585) 409-3926.

Tickets for the event are available now through Feb. 28 at the following prices, which will increase after Feb. 28:

â–  General admission for both days: $40.

â–  VIP, one day: $60; $80 for two days.
