Activity will teach about monarch butterflies
EAST BETHANY — Area residents can seize the last few days of summer with a visit to a butterfly meadow and a journey into their world.
Officials at the Genesee County Park will host “Watching Monarchs” on Saturday from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
Visitors can take part in a nationwide monarch conservation project; see how they are tagged and released; and meet the insects up-close and personal. They can also earn all about the butterflies’ lives and what people can do to help them out.
Price is $5 per person or $10 per family. Space is limited with pre-registration is required.
