LE ROY — Well-known Rochester musicians Mitzie Collins, on hammered dulcimer, and Roxanne Ziegler, on Celtic harp, will lead a stirring program of old-fashioned hymns and Irish songs, seasoned with a generous helping of lively jigs and reels at 3 p.m. March 18 in the Sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church at the corner of Main & Clay streets in Le Roy.
The Church Choir and Youth Singers, led by Henry Emmans, music director of the church, will add their voices to the celebration. Anyone who would like to join the choir for this event is welcome; come to a pre-concert practice at 1:30 p.m. March 18.
This program is a part of the church’s ongoing Bicentennial Celebration. The public is invited. The concert is free of charge and will be followed by refreshments in Olmsted Hall. The building is handicapped accessible from the Clay Street side.
