LE ROY — National Jell-O Week will celebrated be next week, Sunday through Saturday, in Le Roy.
While not recognized by the company, on Monday, the Le Roy Village Board recognized Feb. 11 through Feb. 17 as Jell-O Week in the village. With various communities celebrating National Jell-O Week, Lynne Belluscio said Le Roy should too. Belluscio, the town historian, said about 20 people from Utah visited the museum on Monday and the largest consumption of Jell-O is in Salt Lake City.
“Jello, even though it’s been gone for over 50 years, still remains a part of our heritage,” said Mayor Greg Rogers. “I strongly urge people to visit the Jell-O museum and its exhibits.”
The Jell-O Gallery, located at 23 E. Main St. in Le Roy, is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
