Two of the top acts from the early ‘80s will perform at Darien Lake Amphitheater this summer.
Journey has announced its 2020 tour with the Pretenders. Their performance is set for July 18.
Journey created some of the best-known songs of its era. Since the group’s formation in 1973, the band has earned 19 top 40 singles along with 25 Gold and Platinum albums and has sold nearly 100 million albums globally.
Fans can expect to hear iconic Journey classics such as “Lights,” “Faithfully,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Open Arms,” “Wheel In The Sky,” and naturally, “Don’t Stop Belevin’”
The Pretenders cross the bridge between punk, new wave and pop music, with genre-defining songs like “I’ll Stand By You,” “Back On The Chain Gang” and “Don’t Get Me Wrong.” The band has sold more than 25 million albums and founder & leader Chrissie Hynde is a pioneering female rock icon.
Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Nov. 8.
American Express Card members can purchase tickets for select shows on the tour 10 a.m. Nov. 4 to 10 p.m. Nov. 7. Citi and other local presales will start 10 a.m. Nov. 5.
