BATAVIA — Domino’s Pizza expects to be open for business in its new home at 6 Court St. in the next few weeks, the company said recently.
“The sign is up. The tile is being installed and finishing touches are being worked on,” Domino’s Public Relations Specialist Chantele Telegadas said in an email. “It is estimated to open in March. An exact date has not yet been scheduled.”
Telegadas said there will be a grand opening at some point. Asked what will happen at the current location, 563 E. Main St., when the business moves, she said the East Main Street location will sit vacant.
City of Batavia Director of Public Works Matt Worth said, “Domino’s was issued a building permit, which primarily addressed the change to their franchise standards, as the building was already a food service use. In addition a sign permit was issued.”
Worth added, “I can’t speak to their schedule/timeline, but they are operating on the east end so I believe that they have some flexibility.”
