DARIEN CENTER — Less than a week after concluding the 2017 summer concert season, Darien Lake is already looking forward to next year.
LiveNation announced the first concert of the 2018 on Friday, and it’s a big one for the younger set.
Niall Horan, formerly of the British boy band One Direction, will perform his solo show at 7 p.m. Sept. 7. His Flicker world tour will include special guest Maren Morris.
One Direction was the biggest pop group of the decade, having sold more than 20 million albums worldwide. The group went on hiatus in January 2016 so each of the five singers could pursue other projects.
Horan, who celebrated his 24th birthday on Wednesday, will release his debut solo album, “Flicker,” on Oct. 20. He has already release two hit singles from the album, “This Town” and “Slow Hands.”
Tickets for the show range from $29.50 to $107 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 22 through LiveNation.com, Ticketmaster.com or Charge By Phone at 1-800-745-3000.
