Pembroke’s Brick House Corners Fair marking milestone 30th year

Aug 24, 2015

PEMBROKE — This year’s Brick House Corners Fair will be a milestone celebration.

Scheduled Sept. 12 at the corner of routes 77 and 5, this will be the 30th annual fair, and the planning committee is looking for community members to take part.

The committee is looking for old-time crafters, such as butter churners and sheep shearers, etc., and will pay $100 for the day. Anyone interested in participating can call Paula Trapani at (716) 570-8065.

They are also looking for old pictures of the town of Pembroke, which town historians will use to create a display of the town “then and now.” Pictures may be dropped off at the Pembroke Town Hall, where they will be copied and returned to the owner.

The committee also promises one of the biggest Chinese auctions in the area.

The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will also feature entertainment, raffles, contests and food.

As a special tribute to the 30th anniversary, a drawing for $30 will take place every 30 minutes from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
