Moonlight Snowshoe Hike and Winter Walk
Enjoy the tranquil beauty of the forest by moonlight. Â Naturalists introduce snowshoeing with a brief lesson (weather permitting), then lead you on a trek through the forest. Â Moonlight hike will go, snow or no snow! Â The evening concludes with refreshments by a warm fire in Pavilion A. Â This hike is for big kids, ages 18 and over. Â Snowshoes are provided, or you may bring your own.
Snowshoe rentals are available at the Genesee County Park and Forest Interpretive Center 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursdays and Thursdays and Noon to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays December through March, weather permitting. Snowshoes must be used in the park. Fee is $5/pair and all proceeds go to the ACORNS organization supporting the park. Run for the ACORNS participants get $1 off snowshoe rentals throughout the season!Â
