Genesee Community College invites the public to the second of four scheduled presentations in the new Historical Horizons Lecture Series.

Eric Bloomquist will present “Campbell’s Defeat: Demonstrating Seneca Sovereignty over the Niagara Portage.” Bloomquist, the former program manager for the Old Fort Niagara Association, will speak about how the events of 1763 on the Niagara Frontier have been long misremembered, misunderstood and misinterpreted. He provides a more accurate picture by combining an appreciation of Native American politics, Anglo-American military management and local geography.

All lectures take place on the first Wednesday of the month, February to May, and are located in room T102 of the Conable Technology Building at Genesee Community College.
