Veterans Night at the Holland Land Office

On Thursday, August 3, from 7-9 pm, the Holland Land Office Museum will be holding a night to honor local veterans, coinciding with the current exhibit on World War I.  Planned activities for the evening will pay tribute to the fallen soldiers, and past and present veterans of Genesee County as well as tell the rich military history of our county. The events include: a memorial ceremony with bugle music; flag retirement collection hosted by Scout groups; walks through the War of 1812 Peace Garden; refreshments provided by Tim Horton's and hosted by the Anna Ingalsbe Lovell Chapter-Daughters of the American Revolution. The entire museum will be open and all veterans and their families and friends are invited share in the occasion and see all the wonderful things the Genesee County museum offers.
